LOS ANGELES, USA // Rachel Berman is Vice President of Digital Marketing at Focus Features where she oversees an interdisciplinary team that creates and implements holistic digital campaigns, brand partnerships and promotions, and experiential activations for the studio’s award-winning theatrical slate. Recent highlights include the record-breaking opening of Wes Anderson’s ASTEROID CITY, the Academy-Award® nominated film TÁR starring internet sensation (and Petra’s father) Lydia Tár, Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner A THOUSAND AND ONE from first-time feature director A.V. Rockwell and the return of Britain's favorite aristocratic household in DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEW ERA, among others. She absolutely loves being at Focus and working closely with filmmakers to launch their films in innovative ways.
Previously, Rachel oversaw Creative Content for Dwayne Johnson at Seven Bucks Marketing, producing his ZOA commercial for the Olympics, launching his “Guac on the Rock” initiative with Teremana, and collaborating with studios on their marketing content for Johnson’s many film and television projects.
Rachel also spent many years at The Walt Disney Company, launching social handles for Walt Disney Studios, running the company’s main social handle (@Disney), and “Oh My Disney” a digital brand producing editorial, digital video, clothing and accessories, and experiential activations for millennial Disney fans, before moving to Lucasfilm where she managed social marketing and digital PR for Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound.
For Rachel, marketing is all about authentic storytelling. She’s excited to be judging this year’s Clio’s.
